We will spend the next couple of weeks in Milkwellburn Wood thinning compartments - this will involve removal of 'non-natives' tree species including beech, sycamore and conifers. We will also undertake ride management by felling trees to create a network of wider open spaces in the woodland.
However, we are spending a day planting trees on a Heart of Durham site on Thursday (23rd February).
